Which tone should I use for LinkedIn: Direct or Casual?

Your drafts come out stiff and you suspect they read as machine-written, especially on LinkedIn.

The default register of most models is noticeably stiffer than a person writing quickly. Tone actions reshape a selection or draft into a chosen register without changing its meaning, and Direct and Casual are the two most worth using deliberately. LinkedIn is where this matters most, since it is the platform where AI-written text is most obvious and least forgiven.

Run the draft through Casual or Direct before posting; it is a one-click improvement. For client-facing writing, Formal suits better. Teams can combine tone actions with templates: write the template once and adjust tone per platform as you insert it.
